Youth & Families Volunteer Inquiry - Adult
Dear brother or sister in Christ, thank you for your interest in volunteering with our youth and family programs! Our ministry is growing and we need you!
Because our ministries are entrusted with the formation of young people and families in the faith, many of our volunteer positions require that our volunteers be practicing baptized Catholics in good standing with the Church, who can profess belief in all the official teachings of the Catholic Church. If this description does not fit you, still reach out! We might be able to find a volunteering position that fits both your gifts and the needs of our ministries.
Please note all of our youth and family ministry volunteering positions for youth require filling out Diocesan Safety Protocol documentation, a Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector, and a brief conversation to determine which position is the best match.
Catechism classes are held Sundays 10 am to 11 am at Sr. Catherine Steele Center. We also have a variety of groups, as well as events happening throughout the year.

Attendance and Faith Life at Home
As Catholic volunteers helping people grow closer to Christ, we are held to a high standard of faith, morality and practice, as we are the face of Christ to others. As such, it is vital for us to continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord and practice our Faith on a day-to-day basis. We are here to help, and are happy to provide you with resources to assist you and your family to grow closer to God. Most importantly, though, daily prayer and Scripture reading, weekly Mass attendance, and monthly confession are vital for you and your family to grow in your relationship with God and to be good witnesses to those we serve. If you have any questions or if there is any way in which we can help, please let us know!
I acknowledge that as as a Catholic volunteer, it is my responsibility to grow and maintain a close relationship with God. As such, I commit to praying daily, attending Mass on Sundays, seeking the Sacrament of Confession regularly (monthly is suggested), giving exemplary moral witness inside and outside the church, and faithfully fulfilling my duties as a volunteer.
Rules and Liability Agreement
I agree to abide by the rules & regulations stated by Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, including the stipulation that bullying, gossip, and speaking against Church Teaching are NOT permitted. I understand that if I fail to comply with these rules & regulations, it may result in dismissal from any and all volunteering positions, events, and programs.
I also agree to release Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, all volunteers, chaperones and staff of any liability in the case of any accident that may occur as a result of my participation in its programs and events.
