Catechesis, Sacramental Preparation & Fellowship

At Our Lady of Lourdes, we believe that faith begins at home and flourishes in the parish community. Our children, youth, and family ministries strive to encourage and empower parents and families, so that, together, we may help young hearts to know, love, and follow Jesus.

At Our Lady of Lourdes, we believe that faith begins at home and flourishes in the parish community. Our children, youth, and family ministries strive to encourage and empower parents and families, so that, together, we may help young hearts to know, love, and follow Jesus.

We offer Children's Catechesis, Youth Catechesis, Moms' Group, Parents' Meetup, and a Prayer Ministry to support all our evangelization efforts.

Children, Youth and Family Programs

Children's Catechesis

Children's Catechesis

Preschool - Grade 7

Helping children build a strong foundation in the Catholic faith through Scripture, prayer, and the Sacraments.

Classes are held Sundays 10 am to 11 am at Sr. Catherine Steele Center and include preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Children in Preschool to Grade 7 are welcome to participate.

In class, children will develop a greater appreciation for God's immense love for them, and will grow in their faith by learning how to read the Bible, exploring different ways to pray, relying on the Sacraments for grace, discovering the tremendous gift of Jesus' real presence in the Eucharist, and cultivating a deeper devotion to Our Lady, the Saints, and the Angels.

Parents are welcome to stay for fellowship and coffee!

Youth Catechesis

Grades 8-12

A welcoming space for youth to grow in faith, build friendships, and explore what it means to live as disciples of Christ in today’s world.

Classes are held Sundays 10 am to 11 am at Sr. Catherine Steele Center and include preparation for Confirmation.

During the class, our youth will learn more about God's deep and abounding love for them, deepen their prayer life, and learn how to become lifelong disciples of Christ. Through formative, compelling videos and discussion, as well as involvement in the life of the parish, they will begin to take an active role in their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, and discern God's will for their life.

Parents are welcome to stay for fellowship and coffee!

Moms & Homeschoolers Group

Moms & Homeschoolers Group

Are you a mom looking to grow deeper in your relationship with God and learn to live and pray like Mary and the saints? Would you like to meet other faithful women striving to raise their kids in the faith?

St. Zelie's Hearth invites you to join us for Mass, prayer, faith study, fellowship, friendship and encouragement. Babies, toddlers, and homeschooled kids of all ages are welcome and encouraged!

We have over 20 children in attendance, from babies to age 11!

During our meetings, the kids play together and do faith-activities while the moms engage in a beautiful Catholic women's study. This Fall we are learning about the spirituality of St. Teresa of Avila. We also have special activities and events throughout the liturgical calendar.

We meet every Friday for 9 am Mass, followed by a gathering from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at one of our member's houses.

We look forward to meeting you and your family!
